Welcome to the Office of Women's Programs

Women’s Programs within the Dean of Students Office strives to promote understanding, raise awareness, and address the needs of women on UNC Charlotte's campus by offering a variety of programs to students, faculty and staff.

The Women’s Programs Office is here to provide support for all women by celebrating their achievements and advocating for a gender friendly climate.  In doing so, the office will provide faculty, staff, and students with information and services about women’s issues, sponsor programs which address issues concerning women, and advocate for the rights of women in the fight to end Domestic Violence.

The Domestic Violence Exhibit

A Wonderful Success!

In the Fall of 2007 Women's Programs launched a new initiative that helped further the cause to end Domestic Violence.  A Domestic Violence Exhibit.  The exhibit was displayed on October 29 - November 2 and received positive feedback from the campus community.

The exhibit depicted the varying types of domestic violence present within our communities.  The pieces showcased in the exhibit represent the work of students, staff, and community affiliates as they continue on their journey towards healing and recovery.

The overall purpose of the Domestic Violence Exhibit is to educate the campus community on the realities of Domestic Violence in the country and around the world by using visual art and photography to showcase this growing epidemic.
