I was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, but grew up in Brooklyn, New York.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from SUNY College at Brockport in Political Science and Afro-African American Studies and my Master’s degree Western Illinois University in College Student Personnel.

I currently work as the Assistant Dean of Students for Minority Student Support Services & Women’s Programs.  I am also an adjunct faculty in the Women’s Studies Department at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.  Before coming to UNC Charlotte, I worked at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Office of Residence Life, George Washington University, in the Community Living and Learning Center, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

I am extremely excited about the many opportunities to work in student centered environment and proud to be a part of the Niner Nation experience.
