Did you know that
January is National Mentoring Month? In our attempt to highlight the
importance of mentoring, we would like to encourage you to nominate
a faculty, staff our student for the Magical Mentor Award.
Mentoring is a seamless part of our work and effective mentors are
not often recognized for the service and support they provide to
others. Mentors have a significant role in creating the engaging
educational environment that supports all of our students. Mentors
serve as positive role models, establish and maintain supportive
relationships, and provide opportunities for students to develop
personal and professional skills.
We need your help to
identify those individuals who actively and consistently encourage
the growth and development of our UNC Charlotte community through
their investment in students. All nominees will be recognized at
the annual “Mentoring Works” reception on January 28, 2010.
